I really like Ezzard because he brought a different dynamic to our receiver corps...A big, tough, physical guy who would be a good option in short-yardage situations. I remember FSU recruiting him hard along with us and it wouldn't surprise me if the Noles show some interest.

Can’t blame him. He wasn’t going to get that much burn this year from what it looks like. Wish he would stay though.

I don’t know his reasoning but if it is because he won’t see the field till his RS sophomore year the. That would be dumb. He would have to sit anyways if he left. Why not continue to learn and work towards playing time here? College football is definitely changing with this portal. Unfortunately not every transfer is a good transfer. Kids leaving after one year doesn’t make much sense unless they have family problems back home, just arent good enough or don’t fitnthe new coaches scheme. Not sure where he falls into.

While I agree it’s a nice new advantage that players have, how does it impact the kid if he decides to stay? The team now knows you wanted to leave. I just don’t see it helping a kid if he returns unless he has Jeff Thomas type talent and there were other things going on behind the scenes. Once you enter the portal, you might as well go in my opinion.

I doubt we see kids enter the portal and decide to stay at the school they are at that often. U are basically saying u don't want to be there to your teammates. That won't vibe well in a locker room.
