One year Pete Carroll had Lendale White start complaining about too few carries and storm off the practice field into a building and turn up on the roof, four stories up. White then ducked down so he couldn't be seen, and some guys threw a lifesize dummy in uniform with White's number 21, off the roof. Most of the guys on the field thought it was White actually jumping off the roof. It was hilarious after he let them in on the joke. I saw a video of it. A USC fan told me that's why the USC players loved Carroll.
I've looked for the video, but can't find it. Carroll was always pulling pranks. One year he had some cops come into a team meeting and they arrested a senior DL for "abusing a freshman." Caroll then showed a one-on-one drill where he actually abused a freshman.
