My opinion is simple and strategic....
Don't regress and the offense will be explosive. We could discuss the cliche's of limiting turnovers and running the ball well, but to me it's three basic items.
1.) Don't regress at QB.... Stephen made a bunch of really lucky throws last year because of his arm strength, threading the needle. He also struggled with the short passes. Only minor improvements are needed.
2.) Keep Morris and Duke healthy. Don't put them in a position where they could be injured. IE: Don't wear down Duke, and protect Morris at all costs.
3.) They need to believe. If Dorsett catches those balls against ND, it's a different ballgame. The drops looked a bit like confidence or nerves. Now he's been there, on the big stage, he needs to believe. Once these kids start to believe, they will execute, and that's when the world goes on notice.
I'm not drinking the 12-0 Cool-Aid, but this team could be really special. 1999-2000 Canes special. The schedule favors it, and many things are in place. Minor improvements on Offense and the kids taking a big step up on Defense (the DL), is all it's going to take.
