Expect a big defensive commitment

Mike has become lazy, plain and simple. Every so often he'll drop a new name, and have some good insights on said new name, but his decline really started last year to me. All the flip-flopping he did on Tracy Howard, the unenthusiastic coverage and analysis of key commits like McCord and Bush, probably because he predicted them going elsewhere turned me off with him. Then the disappering act he did after the weekend where Goldman, Autry, Bowman, etc visited and he had incorrectly predicted them coming here. You can't blow your trumpet when you're right, and become Casper when you're wrong.

Bottom line for me is he's lost credibility with me, and once you lose credibility, its pretty hard to win it back.

I actually like reading the other Scout guys more than Bakas anymore. Some good dudes over there.

As far as the commitment I am going to go with Grace. Just a gut feeling. I was thinking Burns or Bain (Carter the obvious one) but Grace makes sense
 
Bakas is a thing of the past....I'm awaiting confirmation from the new recruiting sensation, Mike Black ***.

I would love it if it was Burns but seeing how Bakas has a rep for not really going out on a limb, I'd say it's one of the safe bets like Carter. It's been no secret that Carter is a Cane.

I hope it is Burns and I'll fap if somehow Matthew Thomas commits.
 
I dont know if Carter can come out and commit yet because of his grades. I'd be surprised if it wasn't Burns.

Grade haven't stopped kids from committing in the past. I would imagine his offer is legit seeing as he is likely one of our top propsects at S.

I like Bakas. The site is terrible and he is usually late with commitment news lately but he used to be the most reliable mod and in some ways he still is. He doesn't post drama like the CS dudes and he actually goes out and watches these kids play unlike Ferman and his crew. ITU also goes out to games and camps but them dudes are the most negative bunch. Site seems anti-Cane at times.

I like MB as well. At times during the year, he is not as active as the reporters on other sites. Big deal - that is as much an indictment of Scout/Canestime ownership as anything else. The guy does have a life (perhaps unlike some posters who live on these boards 24/7). All of the sites have their own perspective. Why not try to enjoy the information available, make your own judgments about who/what is more credible and timely and take it all for what it is worth? None of them are accurate all of the time, and the recruiting stuff changes daily. The childish pot shot are stupid and usually born out of an ignorant mob mentality or just plain jealously. If I want to pay to support a site, it's my own **** nickle to spend, and I have it to do so. The ridiculous inter-Cane hatred on the various message boards is so common now, it is no wonder our fan base continues to be a joke in the college football world. This site was started by and is run by some really good posters from Canestime. I wish they would stand by their stated intentions of keeping this crap out of the football boards.
 
It's probably not Bakas' fault. IDK what they pay him there. Maybe he does what they pay him for. But he is the face so I guess he takes the brunt of the hate for the fact that Canestime rips it's customers off. Their product is not worth a fraction of what they charge for it.
