Everything you need to know about Saint Leo

Not sure if you heard on broadcast, but for anyone that didn’t, apparently he was recommended to Coach L as a talented but overlooked player. His coach/trainer worked with Tatum and met Coach L’s son as a result, and then told his son to let Coach L know that this kid is the real deal. Excited to see more from him.
It was Tatum and Coach L’s son working with Hakeem Olajuwon and Olajuwon was the one who recommended.

That Pack/Bethea/Staton-McCray/Djobet/Johnson lineup, more of that.

Add Cleveland and that’s a super fun lineup with a little length.

I do believe we’re gonna need Lynn and Kiree for matchups as the season progresses.

I’m gonna chalk this up as an off night for Lynn because his offensive efficiency was excellent over the course of an entire season last year.

It’s one half against a severely overmatched opponent, obviously, but as it relates to some of the younger guys

I don’t think anything needs to be said about Bethea.

Divine’s ability to get into the crease and find the open man be it with a drop off or a kick out off of it was impressive for a true freshman.

Djobet looks like he’s playing faster. Lot of times last year it seemed like he was thinking about every move and not just moving with the game.

Did Johnson-Arigu get in? Main screen is on the Celtics and I didn’t have audio on so may have missed him.

I am just not a Kidd guy. Nothing against him, but a center that doesn’t stretch the floor at all, isn’t a defensive anchor, and isn’t an offensive hub… is a backup. Toss him in there to abuse smaller teams if they don’t have the ability to make you pay on the defensive end but I’m just not as enamored with “We gotta have height!” as a lot of people here.

Kiree is hurt and out indefinitely.

Haven’t seen Johnson-Arigu.

Kidd is a starter for us but he‘s not a centerpiece. He’s athletic enough to work defensively, and offensively he’s skilled enough to be productive in the post with how we can space the floor, IMHO.

I love Pack, Bethea, Cleveland, Djobet, and Johnson… but we get bullied in the paint against the big dogs imho. At least Kidd adds some resistance defensively in the paint.

Okay may have been a bit more deserved than I thought. Looked like he threw a bit of a punch/forearm at the guy.

Divine is seriously impressive.

Bethea was a hot head at times as a prep. Was a concern of mine watching his games
