Reading ESPNs bama jerk off article and it just ****ed me off that we're still having these issues. I know CMR is behind the 8 ball a bit on 2017, just because he just got here, but what needs to happen for this to stop besides "just win" response thrown around? It's gone from Bama finding a gem in Eddie Jackson and getting Amari cooper, to now an all out invasion. Jeudy, Leatherwood, and Cowan. Scarbarough and Ridley from previous cycles. What can we do to help CMR get this fixed?

Cowan is from Chicago. Not a pure bred FL kid. Scarborough originally from Alabama.

But I get your point though. We have to win ball games, kids will come.

We can't be like ole miss and throw out the bags the minute the coach is introduced. Will change if/after we finally win 10

You can't stop teams from getting elite Florida players, there's just too much talent

Ya and Leatherwood is from Alabama East (florida panhandle)

I mean these are excuses.

Lifestyle in Miami is 1000x times better then anywhere else, besides maybe USC, and certainly better than Tuscaloosa.

These kids that come down to IMG and what not from out-of-state, should never want to leave.

Kids are frontrunners more then ever now. You can see it in the teams they root for. The majority of them are GS, Cleveland, New England, Seattle, or Carolina fans....

Win, show up to games and be used to the fact that you ccan't keep every stud locally when eevery major school recruits here so heavy. CMR is here now and will do work but iit won't just happen in 6 months

I think some of us really do forget that some kids just don't want to stay home. Minus the fact I didn't play college ball, I chose to go to Michigan rather than my in state schools NCSU or Carolina. (Wasn't smart enough for Duke, but still wouldn't have went if I were)
I looked at it like "all my friends got into local schools no problem, but no one was accepted to U of M, so it felt kind of exclusive to me. Kids from Miam might think the same way. It's like winning a trip to Disney Land, when you already live in Florida. Typically, the best of the best get Bama offers (for football only lol) so their football scholarships are worth more than UM's right now, because it's somewhat exclusive, and not to mention validates a hs athlete as elite.
We'll get back to that point where an offer from UM has the same allure to athletes as a Bama, *, and ** does.

Are you people nuts... winning is a part, coaching is a part but MONEY is behind this amazing haul of south Florida talent. If you believe otherwise your kidding yourself. SEC throws around money and that's tough to compete with. How else would Mississippi get recruits - let alone 5 star recruits!
