Wait until he gets in shape. Could be another Cortez Kennedy type situation. Maybe not as talented, but not ready yet.
On offense the skill positions are deep and extremely talented. I have not seen enough Kaaya to judge him although I love his attitude. Having said that expect mistakes at the QB position from the great Kaaya (based on history not on personal evaluation). Not sold on TE yet. We are good to possible great on offense.
Defense WILL be better but we had nowhere to go but up. The Db's should be a huge upgrade from last year and faster (look at Artie and Grace's tape chasing down Yearby in the scrimmage). We are ONE injury away at LB (the great Perryman) from disaster although I really like Grace but they are young as a group. Not sure about DLine either but Thomas give me hope. We need more than ONE DL to be good this season if we are going to be better on D.
Special teams should be good (return team) to bad (kicking game).
Need to take the step because we do have some ballers. Coaches have to figure out how to do that.
Duke and Coley healthy together are worth 7 wins.
IF the others are as good as they or we think they are we could be looking at a 10 win season.
Conversely we could lose 5 or 6 games if we are wrong in our assessments.
I am actually pretty optimistic but I am a homer...
Let's get this going!
