Emory… also not hurt

Wait you guys are ****ting on a kid for wanting to play and believing in himself?

That’s what he should be wanting and doing.

That doesn’t mean he’s good enough- I don’t think he is- but some of you are just delusional ******** as well

Also you’re “old man up hill both ways” thing about athletes in a social media era now more than a decade in is pretty unoriginal at this point.

Criticize where applicable but him not being happy and wanting to play is a weird one to go after when anyone in that situation would almost always feel the same

At the time we were happy to get him from FSU's backyard. Regardless of his ability or potential, there's never a need to bash the kid.
Whoever put an X on your post is a ******* tool. Kid may not have earned the job clearly but he hasn’t earned the degree of personal shots some are taking. It’s not the own that some of you think it is it just makes you look like a mother****ing loser.

Wait, weren't people ragging on D$ about the DJ Ivey thing? How is this any different?

These aren't kids, they're getting paid. I promise it's okay to be critical :pgdead:
Being critical of their play and taking personal shots at them when they haven’t done anything to warrant that are two completely ******* different things

I was never happy to "get him from fsu." Miss me with all that other bull****.

People literally had to convince themselves in that original thread that he was a good take lol.
Just like there's a difference between P4 starter and G5 starter, there's a difference between thinking he was a good take and being happy that he chose us over FSU.

I think it’s a couple things:

We overhype recruits to fit an agenda. He was never that high and it was a thank god we got a body because we whiffed (insert excuses about Rashada or whomever it was that cycle when all the amounts were fake and Miami did all they could and got an almost win)

We overhyped him here to spread the word from the staff that he was the ****.

He got in the game with the number one offense in the country and was the ***** not the ****.

OK to call out his game fairly, but now, if he’s taken to social acting confused, he deserves a little, bro pop in the Iowa State tape, watch that debacle and if it’s not you it’s me, because the staff failed or lied to you, then we’ll respect the decision.

We would be worse off if Emory starts than we would be if he transfers.

So why is he the guy so many of you want to white knight for?

Everybody who said he wasn't any good was hating on him or was accused of not knowing what they were talking about. Now that he's proven just how bad he is, acknowledging his lack of talent is somehow a personal attack. Make that make sense. Nobody else gets THIS level of protection.

If he doesn't like that we brought in another QB, so what? If he transfers, so what? If he stays and pouts, so what? As long as he doesn't take another snap, nothing else he does matters.

This is where yall get really weird

If it was the day after Beck committed that’s one thing. Just assuming because some other dip**** assumed it was depth chart seems weird to me but hey what the **** do I know

This man has been in Dawson system long enough to be trusted to know what to do and where to go with the ball.

Yet whenever he gets in the game. We result to this super protective offense that doesn't help any QB in football actually succeed.

This isn't 1993. Running up the middle on 1st and 2nd down then expecting him to do anything on 3rd and long is a recipe for failure.

I've never been a fan of Emory ever. I hate his mechanics and his release. He's bound to get the **** ball batted down every time. Yet I find myself defending the young man because that game plan we employ wouldn't even work for Cam. Why is he even on the team if we're afraid to allow him to throw the ball? It's weird.

You can't protect a QB these days. They gotta sling it or they gotta run or they don't need to be on the team.
I'm a big Emory DAW GAWD stan.

Emory looked awful, awful, awful against Iowa St.

Our Canes had no choice but to get someone for that room.

If he out competes Beck, so be it, if he doesn't, I feel bad and wish him well no matter what he decides.

Kid bleeds orange and green.
