Looks like he would be a better fit in a 3-4, 2 gap scheme.

Measurables dont always tell the tale..check the tape and when youre done check it again.

4-3 also need those big space eating DT's..the position called the "1 technique"

Exactly here is a an video example of potent 1 Tech DT in college to further support MDCanes statement.

I understand all that, and still think his best fit is a 3-4 scheme. He doesn't have explosiveness needed to get upfield be disruptive imo.

He ideally looks like a engage read and react player.

In that Concliffe interview we were barely an afterthought. Forget about him.

In the Offense - Defense All American game in Atlanta he played next to Jon Ford on the dline for the red team ( Conliffe was at DT and Ford was D-End). The both of them playing next to each other shut down that side of the LOS an they were in the back field quit a bit. In the 3rd Qtr Conliffe had a huge sack where he blew up a double team block and ran down the ball career.

Conliffe said he wants to study Civil Engineering during an interview he did on CaneShades Radio earlier this week. He said he speaks with DeeJay quit a bit, I was hoping Conliffe would have said 2017 DL Jon Ford was in his ear about Miami the entire week when they were at that O-D All American practice.

In previous interviews he mentioned that he was enamored with Tenn QB Joshua Dobbs because of his aerospace engineering major. Things is Tenn is loaded at DT an I don't think they have room for him.

Now UF is kicking the tires with Conliffe as is Notre Dame (but I doubt he has the grades for ND, since he mentioned in an earlier interview he needed to get his academics in order). In the end I think it comes down Miami vs PSU. If Miami can get him to OV then I am thinking Miami will jump into the drivers seat for him.

I'm sure Coach Kool kicked the tires too. It does not seem like where going to take another DT in this cycle.
