Elijah Lofton is not hurt

He's taken advantage of every single opportunity when the ball has come his way and then moves opponents out of the way off the ball at every chance.

I think we are at our best in the run game with him lined up at H and Full Back. He gets after it and both Martinez and Fletcher are better going vertical
Dawson needs to create some plays for him out of the FB/H back during the bye. Having 1 more weapon to account for, especially on 3rd & short or RZ makes us that much more difficult to stop.

I can't wait for the goal line play lined up under center, Lofton as a FB, Cam play actions and hits him for a TD.

Like this play that Richt ran with Herndon aganist Toledo in 2017...

I was wrong, af. Playas **** up. He is a killer and a **** good football player who would be getting a ton more opportunities if he wasn’t playing for the best O in the country.

i agree
but I dont see it in Dawson
he basically just has Cam take over
I cant remember a time I felt that he was outscheming a defensive coordinator

Jason Gaethers may be a better comparison but I like where your head is at.
??

Geathers was tall and thin and we kept moving him between WR and RB based on need. Was never an H-back/lead blocker type. Certainly not someone you'd line up at TE.

Lofton is a mean sob in the trenches...

Really enjoyed that takedown of Cal dback when the Canes ran in the TD with Martinez....

A hybrid player playing not so disparate positions. WR and TE are not so dissimilar allong with an overlap at running back.

The comparison is solid. The H back is an extension of his TE side.

If you drew a venn diagram this may be more apparent. You'll notice things compared don't lign up isomorphically but infact have distinct differences.
