We need him back next year, man!*sigh* what coulda been
While here? Is he leaving for some reason?Good to see my dawg get a catch. I def wish he could have been healthier while here and got to see him to his full potential
Was Samson or Kelly injury ever said?I said this 50x during the summer so this is absolutely NOT an “I told you so” post, more just we need to all be educated in the future.
Mid-season ACLs are 2 year injuries in college, almost always. I said all summer that if this kid contributed much at all, I’d be pleasantly surprised. Well, it was a completely wasted year. The pros can barely come back in a year or under, and it’s their entire life to rehab and train to get back. It’s borderline impossible for a college kid. It does happen, but it’s VERY much the exception to the rule. So we need to understand that if a kid blows his knee out in October or November, as ****** as it is, they’re very unlikely to contribute IN THE SAME CAPACITY AS THEY DID PRE-INJURY, the next season.
Now here’s the good news. I don’t think we had a single ACL or knee ligament injury this year, did we?

I have no clue but it wouldn't surprise me to see him bounce to an SMU. There hasn't been much TE utilization until yesterday. Not saying SMU is like Iowa but, he may seek to go somewhere that doesn't have him block 90% of the time that he is on the field. While here? Is he leaving for some reason?

Was Mesidor an ankle ? Thought he was lower extremity relatedGood point. Samson might be in this boat, I’m not sure. For some reason I thought Kelly wasn’t a knee but not sure there either. Let’s hope neither tore an ACL, obviously. But we’ll likely never know. I’ll get the details of Area 51 before we know what kinds of boo-boo’s the kids here have.

The lack of TE use might have more to due to lack of healthy bodies (hopefully that's the case) and/or ready bodies minus old man Cam.I have no clue but it wouldn't surprise me to see him bounce to an SMU. That’s not up to me.We need him back next year, man!
Chicken or the egg. Maybe the TE position didn't catch passes b/c we had a 25 yr old blocker with no hands/wiggle, a true Freshman, and an injured Arroyo ?I have no clue but it wouldn't surprise me to see him bounce to an SMU. Thats def the 500,000 dollar question.Chicken or the egg. Maybe the TE position didn't catch passes b/c we had a 25 yr old blocker with no hands/wiggle, a true Freshman, and an injured Arroyo ?
I noticed that too. Decent hands but looked sluggish. Maybe he gained a bit too much weight year 1 or he's nursing an injury that's limiting him.Riley Williams is young but TrumpyCane does not see any explosiveness, the one catch Aaroyo had yesterday showed some quick burst
TrumpyCane thinks he stays and starts next year
