Middle Village (NY) Christ the King OL Adam ElGammal
has decommitted from Cincinnati, his coach Bruce Eugene told CaneSport on Tuesday morning.
Does that mean a Cane commitment could be imminent? After all, ElGammal and his family are coming off a weekend visit to Miami.
“I don’t know but it wouldn’t surprise me,” Eugene said. “Just because of the way he felt down there, how comfortable he was, how much his family liked it.”
But Eugene cautions that he believes ElGammal will wait until February to sign with the college of his choice.
“A lot of schools are trying to make a push on him like Arizona State, Penn State, Boston College,” Eugene said. “They came along inquiring and want to know if they can get into the game with him. I’m pretty sure the offer is there (from those programs). … Everyone is liking him now.”
