Eddie Johnson Suspended

Sucks to hear JOD is moving to TE. With Mandish coming in, do we really need him there?

Wish his upside at DE forced the coaches to keep him at DE.

This is the most disappointing....early buzz was that the staff had high hopes for him at DE....sounds like he may be another JAG for depth at TE...

Are you serious? Because a player switches positions they are automatically a JAG?

Surprised by the Dye move, he was out best blocking TE.

Barry from Herald mentioned EJ being 'Tardy' as the reason from last year suspensions. Maybe he doesn't like being on time

ohnson – who was fourth on UM’s defense with 59 tackles, including a team-high 7.5 for loss, plus three forced fumbles -- was left home for the Virginia and Duke games last November for violating team rules, prompting Golden to say at the time: “I’m disappointed he’s not doing the things he needs to do.” Tardiness was believed to be an issue.

**** can this guy smarten up and get his act together. The guy not only throwing away his future but hurting his team, ******* mornon. Its not worth it.

It's a tough situation. The very traits that make him the ideal linebacker are also the ones that get him into trouble. He's a reckless goon with no regard for consequence. He acts impulsively and is powered by the raw of emotions of pain and hatred. He's a soulless killing machine, like the school Frankenstein. Void of empathy, sympathy, and compassion.

Great summary. I'm not surprised at anything I hear about this guy. He looks like a nutcase. Several times I remember his helmet off on the sideline, with coaches and teammates trying to get through to him, but Johnson's eyes were nothing but glossy unconcerned tunnel vision. I get the impression you could emphasize the same point to him 20 times and it wouldn't have any impact.

Some guys are so self-obsessed they only see 5 feet ahead. Eddie Johnson reminds me of the genius aggressive drivers I encounter every day. It can be rush hour with traffic clogged everywhere. Natural stoppage two hundred yards ahead. At that point, nothing but brake lights, and a long wait. But there's always one simpleton who sees a quick opening in the right lane, so he darts over there, no matter the near miss. Then he similarly zig zags back to the center, and then to the left. Not gaining anything, other than satisfying his personality. When he runs into the logjam, the same one everybody else has sensed for minutes, it's like ****...how can this be happening? He blares his horn, flails his arms in the air, curses non stop. You want to laugh at him, and he deserves it, but guys like that are so scattergun dangerous you can't take any chances.

I think the Ray Lewis mention is interesting. You gotta think that if someone could get through to EJ it would be Ray. Perhaps Al reaches out to him and has him sit down with EJ sometime this spring.

So you noticed my driving style. I am an Asian driver and it is not just a stereotype.

Why is he still on the team? There has to be more to the story... I doubt Al would keep a kid who skips practice, late to meetings and fights... I mean that would go against his team's principles... That being said, EJ has potential but he is no where near as good as this board makes him out to be... He's not a superstar(yet), he needs to get his act together... Its not about you, EJ... Its about the team...

He wouldn't be on the team if he wasn't such an enormous talent. Same reason Larry Phillips got to drag ginger chicks around by the hair for 4 years at Nebraska.

The amount of **** you can get away with is directly proportional to how well you play on Saturdays.
