Hoping for the best for the young man. Kiko looked slower last season than he looked in '23. But I just don't know we can properly judge him. Guidry making him cover guys the entire length of the field was unjust. He often loaded all the responsibility on Kiko's shoulders. No DC in the NFL will have those expectations.

Keep him in phone booth and he's at least a roster guy if he can produce on special teams
Happy for George. Total knucklehead, but was alway active on the field. Receiving and blocking. Natural abilities that need to be refined.

Problem with George was never during the play.

George's problem starts outside of the whistle.

im not going to lie to you......about year and a half ago i think i was at a high school game and mario was there recrutiing. Jacolby George showed up and Mario b lined for him....gave him a hug and like that talk your dad would give for a few mins (very serious type convo with JG mostly shaking his head) it may have been for like 5 mins so it stood out to me....and then i knew no matter how much a knucklehead kid may have been mario valued him.

So when he played after personal fouls or whatever i always knew why.

I respected Mario for that moment alone....if kid was a knucklehead/bum you didnt care about you might have just gave him a pound and let him keep walking with his homies.

we didnt blitz him much last year and dropped him in covg way more than normal because they lost Cloyd and didnt replace him...Cloyd covg skills likely were better than most of our lbs..we brought in alderman who also appeared to be a 2 down run stopping type.

Pruitt was too light to play multiple plays so u ened up with what we had.

I also see Marcelin as a 2 down run stopper. We shall see how things play out with the Spring portal because as of now, LB is going to have movement because D. Nick.

Facts. We misused him. I think it's 50/50 defensive staff's fault and Kiko's fault. He was not at peak physicality vs 2023. Maybe his recovery from surgery was slower than Cici's, I don't know. But I do think he has a good shot at playing in the league.
