With the portal and the scholarship limits back this year, Is it even worth trying to project a full 25 class? or realistically go with 20 kids and then leave 5 for transfers/etc.

Limits arent back this year, that will be for the 2025 class. Also with the portal poopin the way it has, roster turnover will be volatile. Kids can leave when they want, because of that schools will do the same to make room for roster spots as they wont be held to as high of a standard there. Remember all schollies are 1 year renewable, so just like a kid can bounce, the school can do the same.

Kids will be transferring out after the season as well

What i mean is even if we are losing kids, the unlimted number to bring back to 85 isn't going to last. I thought it was this year but was wrong and it will be in '25. So banking on just signing a full 25 HS kids plus transfers isn't going to be realistic.

But who knows what the rule will be in '25. Lot of things could change.

I was wondering where Cole fit in your pecking order. Seems like he bumped Chiles?

Does the wish list have to be realistic or can it be just in general who we would want?

Can always go as unrealistic as possible. There was the one Gaytor fan that gave us tons of laughs in the tears thread who wrote down is dream ‘22 class for them on the piece of paper.

I'm not hip to the recruits this cycle so I'll list some traits:

1a. Elite QB prospect
1b. 25 athletic AND fast kids
2. High football IQ and hard-working
3. Strong, instinctual, and big 300+ DTs.
4. Play-making WRs

I think we may be trying to take 2 QBs this cycle.

That’s true. Just throwing some names out there that I hope we can land.

I’d tried to keep it semi realistic. We likely don’t land some of these guys I listed. I tried not to go super overboard on my dream list like I did last year. I didn’t list any 5* DBs cause at this point I’ve given up on landing a top CB prospect smh…

Eddy Pierre Louis, DT from Tampa Catholic is a kid I want here. There's that rising corner from STA and Ricki Knight from West Palm too. Rohan's nephew Cole at OLB looks like a big riser. Wheatley from Dillard looks like he'll be a take at rb.
Oh yeah Wheatley I don’t know how I forgot him. I’m gonna go back and edit my list and put him in Frazier’s spot.

I think Cole seems to be a more realistic get here. We should be able to land all 3 LBs I named.

The most interesting part of this was that you have a RB and an OL from Cali and an OL from Washington State.

I know that Mario was successful up and down the west coast when at Oregon and his staff was also all over the country. But I haven't seem Mario at Miami getting high profile PNW prospects and I think this class will tell us if that area is realistic.

Now, if we start winning big, we can go national. Right now I don't think we have that stroke. And QB recruiting doesn't count as those guys go everywhere.
