The stats say they are the same player.

Stats don't tell the full picture. It's not a gigantic upgrade, but it's significant enough.

Brooks is significantly better defensively but he’s worse offensively than Miller. I think that makes him a net positive vs Miller because our offense never looks to involve big men in it, anyway.

Good point about the offense. My own observations are that Rodney has fairly accurate close-in shot, but is shaky and fumbles too much when you first pass him the ball in close. He often seems unready. If he holds onto it, we are in good shape for a score...

...Brooks has less accuracy, but does seem more ready for the ball, and is a bit more fleet afoot in all instances, including defense.
