It just wouldn’t make sense from a career trajectory perspective. I know he’s got the whole public speaking issue that doesn’t need to be beaten to death on here, but he’s only OC in name at Ohio St. He’s not calling a single play, and won’t do so unless Ryan Day leaves or is fired. So unless he’s holding out on being the HC (which personally, he’s not qualified in the least bit for), the next step would logically be an actual OC at another program.
