Smith is taking an OV next weekend to UGA with Raiola... supposedly Raiola is going to be bringing a bunch of big time skill guys with him...
Trader's name has been mentioned, too
I would love it if Georgia (or Alabama / Florida / FSU) weren't the beneficiaries.Matt Rhule cryin uncontrollably right now.
He's going to Nebraska.
Seems like UGA didnt get the memo of what a terrible investment it is to recruit a prized HS QB

Its never a bad investment and the perennial contenders don't subscribe to that notion either. Having the high profile QB can elevate the entire class and attract skill guys to come ball out too. You pointed it out that people are looking at things in a vacuum and say that X school just had to take in a transfer or the last time they went to the title game was a transfer. That's an outlier to their blueprint tho. Bama will continue to recruit and sign top level QBs, so will Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia BECAUSE of what it does and the returns it brings with the overall makeup of the class.Elite QB recruiting and elite WR recruiting go hand in hand. It’s very simple: Championship level programs stack talent at every position, especially the most premium position in the entire sport, and may the best man win.
UGA’s coming off back-to-back titles with a roster so stacked with 5*’s everywhere else that they won with Stetson Bennett at QB and they must realize the blue-chip QB’s they recruited who lose their QB competition will probably transfer eventually. But even they are continuing to invest heavily at HS QB recruiting just like every other program competing for the playoff.
You land the best players at the most premium positions AND keep them away from the teams that are trying to beat you for championships while that elite QB helps you land other elite talent across the board, especially at WR. That’s never an ill-advised investment and it should never be looked at in a vacuum.
And if your knee jerk response to this is to simply allege that we’ll just easily land a top portal QB for less money with less competition from the big boys sometime in the future, first ask yourself two questions. Why did Mario initially want Rashada last cycle and then fight for Noland this spring? And why does no premier coach in America, including ours, agree with the premise of some CIS posters that premier QB recruiting is a dumb allocation of resources?
I'm really tired of this ******* kid.
I'm really tired this ******* kid.
Its perfectly fine to be thinking this but just STFU. No need to be the Kardashian of recruiting.
Hopefully Mario knocks some sense into him with his loafer.
Not sure why bc their QBs are apparently on the Van Wilder graduation plan so they can focus solely on football and develop.Littl
Literally one of the worst schools to go to for QB development lol, his choice tho
