Guidry special. Hopefully he has an eye for talent. Per Gaby:

“Day was one of the first prospects Lance Guidry offered once arriving at Miami after a quick stop at Tulane after leading a stout Marshall defense in 2022. Guidry offered Day while representing each of those three programs over the past few months.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder spent time at Miami this spring and seems to be somebody Guidry and others around the program are high on. He's a nickel/safety type.”

He's not ranked yet but does have P5 offers. Feels like an easy one for Guidry due to relationships already in place. Also gets us another kid from the Boot, which is a plus. Long as Guidry doesn't plan to take a bunch of layups I'm good trusting him on this one.

After watching his film, I can see why Guidry likes him. Kid is a lightweight but doesn't shy away from contact...AT ALL, in fact he seems to enjoy mixing it up. He has decent burst and closing speed and attacks the football when going for picks.

I'm not upset at this one at all, irregardless of recruiting ranking.

You gotta think any offer is given the green light by Zo or Mario at minimum. Also it’s still relatively early in the 2024 cycle and it’s not uncommon for DT prospects to be late bloomers given the nature of the position. Lance is a highly regarded talent evaluator, let the man cook.
