Every year this website goes thru the same exercise.we got the
# 10 rated class,or whatever,in the nation and therefore a great team.
No we have a mess on our hands,"I'm not playing in the bowl
game because I'm concentrating on the draft."
Ed Pickney your a 5th round draft choice if that,Bandy oh sure
the NFL needs alot more undersized DB's like you,Jeff THomas
your a waste of God given talent the day you arrived.
Big problem The U keeps trying to win with underclassmen and
schools like Wisconsin win with Seniors. So now Caneinsight posts
there twenty 4 star rated recruits and we start four more of 6-6 seasons.

This is nothing new. Michigan lost to Florida in a big time bowl because they had like 8 defensive starters sit out

A ****bowl game against a ****team isnt gonna magically put pinkney from round 5 to 2.

Us having top 15 classes annually and showing nothing for it is simply an indictment on the supposed leaders of our teams failing year after year.

I have always taken recruiting rankings with a grain of salt. Some rankings are reasonably accurate while others prove to be way off base. To get a better sense of a particular class wait three years or so before making a meaningful evaluation. Obviously this class needs to add interior offensive linemen. If Van Dyke turns out to be the answer at qb, then this class will look very good. Time will tell.

There is not a lot of different between the 10's and teens then the twenties. All a crap shoot. Thing is if u want to play for titles u need to get into the top five range then followed up by top five range then again top five range. If u have an 18 class followed by a jag class u leave room for VT to escape with one.

Can't be having a top 8 class then the following year ranked 20ish or in the teens and expect to be some elite first round factory.

The elite teams take the maulers and dominate with elite athletes. We got Rivers but their are five guys on the OL not one. Surprised that kid chose us but of course him and Chantz tight so understandable

This isnt true. Clemson has been outside the top 10 a few times in the last decade as has LSU who might win it all this year. UGA is the best recruiting team on average the last 5 years and is outside of the playoffs and hasnt won ****. Bama who is right with them is also out.

Clemson was outside the top 10 because they took smaller classes.

Google "lobotomy"

This is the dumbest narrative on the board. Class rankings matter. 5 stars matter. Unfortunately for us, coaching takes away any talent advantage we have. We handicap our kids.

You just used Alabama as an example of being out. I'd like to be out like Alabama. Your entire post was outlier central. Georgia may have blown two big late leads against Alabama but their talent level enabled that type of lead against Alabama.

Miami's talent level doesn't align with anything like that. The only recent games we've had against programs that are recruiting at elite level were 0-58 against Clemson, 3-38 against Clemson, and 17-33 against LSU after trailing 3-33 entering the 4th quarter.

Miami's talent level does not align with Alabama or Georgia. But it also doesn't align with getting shut out by Louisiana Tech.

Based on what people think about our players coming in (recruiting rankings) and coming out (NFL numbers), we should be a Top 15 team. If we play to that level, we will get more of the elite recruits.
