I've seriously been trying to estimate based on the schedule. He averaged about 6 ypc sharing time out the back field with 947 yds rushing. As a lone back who'll get ALOT of touches, amd a WAY weaker schedule with USF, Savannah St. and FAU on the card, how many yards do you see Duke racking up this year?

I actually hope he shares a lot of carries this year.

He's basically the franchise. The last thing you want is to wear him out.

depending on the scores and how we score against the week teams, he may not get tons of yards unless he rips of a couple 50 yarders in each game. will just depend on how the games play out. we may hit on a few deep passes and the game may be out of reach and he may be out of the game by early 3rd quarter. they aren't gonna risk him getting hurt in those games and are gonna want to get other guys reps in those games.

I can see a 1200 yard campaign with a 5.5 ypc. He caught a lot of people off guard... They'll be watching him a bit, but not enough for him to slow down...

He should eclipse 1,000 yards easily. I'm thinking 1,300 with 13tds. All purpose over 1,500 yards

Pounding the rock with him in the UF FSU VA TECH games.

I feel in the tougher games golden will allow him to return kicks and punts. You agree?

My complete guess is that he'll get spot looks in kickoff return in our marquee matchups. Receive the ball in the 2nd half? Throw Duke in there. Other team scores late in the 3rd? Plug him in and see if they don't mess up with a kick out of bounds. Etc.

Yea I totally agree with you. I really want to see Crawford and what he can do. I'd like to see him and Edwards get the majority of the carries in the games we don't have to rely on duke as much

I get Golden's theory of "Taking Duke off KR is not letting Duke be Duke," but I just think he is too important to the team and we have such a lack of depth at RB that it's not worth the risk unless the game is on the line.

You think he was successful last year cause he caught people off guard? You think defenses would've some how defended him better if they knew he was a stud? There's no science to stopping a good RB. You stop a good RB the same way you stop a mediocre RB, you get off blocks and you tackle. Guys like Duke are just harder to tackle, thus they have more success. If defenses couldn't tackle him last year they ain't gonna be able to tackle him this year.

There's no way in **** he only gets 5.5 YPC. We've had RB's with half of Duke's talent that got over 5 YPC here.

Am I missing something? (built in neg for asking a question, I know) our O-line is one of the strengths of this team, combined with our WRs and QB...they will straight MAUL half the teams on our schedule, and I still think duke will get his against our top competition. He will put up more than one crooked number (200+ game 1)

Prediction - 1250+ 6+ ypc 14 rushing tds

danger of kick returning in college is no where near that of an NFL kick returner...creases are way bigger, talent level discrepancy...etc.

punt returning...thats another animal
