Duke over/under 80 yards rushing

I agree with those who say he won't get enough touches...

I'll go with 6 carries for 42 yards

MJ is going to be banging heads in this game. Clements will get a few too.

Duke is going to get some all purpose yards though.
 
If he gets over 80 yards on the sub-10 rushing attempts I expect, rock and ******* roll.

But if you count total yards including pass receptions and KO return yards then I will say over.

Mark me down for over 80 passing/receiving yards, though.

Dude's getting a look in a screen play and potentially something in the flats. Either one of those can be 7 yards or 60.
 
If we're running the ball well with James and Clements, I'd save Duke a bit for the fourth quarter. THEN, he has a much higher chance of long runs, especially if he's in the slot.

Right. I expect to see him get a few receptions too. Fisch knows how special this kid is. Also look for some 2-back sets with Duke and James.
 
If he gets 10 carries he'll bust one of 30 or more, he improvises to well and doesn't lose speed on his cuts.

rushing only? if its a close game as I expect it to be, take the under. if the game is close hes probably only going to touch the ball around 10-15 times depending on how many return opportunities he gets. My expectation is that he will probably only get around 7 or 8 carries, and will get a chance to catch 2 or 3 balls. james will get the bulk of the carries, with the rest spilt among clements, duke and crawford. a blow out either way could obviously change things. early on in the season, I think that every one of the backs will get a fair shot to show what they can do and will be able to help/hurt themselves going forward.
 
we won't show off our main weapon unless we have to... under... unless he's on special teams...

Tough question since he could get about that much with just one carry, but I think they go light on the rushes for him in game one. So I'll say under. Plus IMO the first damage he will do is in the passing game.
 
Under, but like others have suggested he's going to get work in the passing game and on special teams, so over 80 all purpose yards.
 
Considering that I'm left wondering if Mike James will reach 80 yards rushing and he's our workhorse, I'll go under 80 yards for Duke. I can see 5 carries for 32 yards for him and there's nothing wrong about that.
