THIS is why its worth sticking around this team. 7-5 is who they are as Freshman. Stick around.

Broseph, I want to believe as bad as anyone. I just have those flashbacks of the 08 FR class...and look how that turned out.

Hopefully things will turn out differently with Golden.

Shannon followed up the 08 class (which isn't as good as history states) with absolute turds in 09 and 10. I don't see Golden going down that road.

I agree. There is a lot of young talent on this squad and only a few more holes that need to be filled with that young talent. Excited for the future.

There are signs we are getting close, would like add some JUCO DE's to the mix next year to expedite things a little bit. This offense could be lethal next year.

Short of the NCAA gang raping our ****, the 2103 and 2014 classes should be very strong for Golden and should get the depth issues finally straightened out, with some star power mixed in.

Should be...but even Shannon had one good class.

I think Golden will do well recruiting....just worry is all.

Well when you bring in 87 kids in one class you should find some good players. Its making the classes of 15-18 count that's the key.

Will go down as the best Cane ever.

He has a shot, but I remember when Frank Gore was here after his freshman year and we all thought he was gonna dominate, but alas the knee.

I am so glad he's on our team!

Jesus christ. We're mentally ****ed. Let's think positive thoughts.

Also, Frank's freshman year doesn't hold a candle to what we've gotten from Duke.

That stiff arm will be outlawed by the time he is a junior. Parents are going to protest.

That boy has the best stiff arm for a freshman since Darren McFadden.

He's got a little Garrison Hearst in him. Lot of strength in a small package.
Very nice comparison. Loved Hearst in college and in the pros. Too many injuries kept him from being better than what he was.

Collins is closer to a Hearst comparison. Hearst was a relatively good sized back. IIRC, he was like a solid 5' 11" 220 or so.

Hearst wasn't small when he was in the NFL but he always amazed me when he stiff armed bigger guys and when he blocked. He was the most vicious pass blocking running back I've ever seen and was usually much smaller than the guy he was taking on.

Just saying Duke makes me shake my head a lot when contact is made because of the impact the other guys take, kinda like watching Hearst IMO.

Agree, Gore did most of his damage in mop up duty, Duke has been the biggest play maker we have on the team period.

That boy got them slave feet. I almost slapped my girl in her ****y when he jumped sideways at full speed on that kick return.

I would let this kid sleep with my woman just to raise his offspring as my own.

Duke has him a transporter device. When it looks like he's tackled, he beams himself to the open field. Captain Kirk would be proud.

That, and the stiff arm, which is sweet, sweet, sweet.
