I honestly don't think they can afford to fire Norvell and hire a quality replacement. They're going to go through a really difficult phase. UF too.

Unless they lose to Ga. Southern. The $$$ they are now losing due to decreased ticket sales + decreases in booster donations will reach epic negative proportions if they lose to Ga Southern ... in addition to recruiting difficulties and issues in even attempting to change staff. What decent assistants will want to walk into that dumpster fire? There is a strong contingent of Nole large boosters who have totally had it and might be able to put together a good chunk of the buyout funds needed. This is uncharted territory for FSU and Norvell appears to be totally lost ... he is mumbling about "changes in the offseason" and cannot provide any detail. We will see ... but in the meantime watching their implosion from week to week has been one of the pure pleasures of this season so far. I am looking forward to the ND / FSU game on Saturday.
