Dugan and his philosophy on wanting bigger receivers

Yall reading too much into Dugan's comment. Everybody wants big WR's. In a perfect world they'd all be above 6'1" and run under 4.5 in the forty. That's what every coach WANTS. Those guys are rare though.

You always make an exception for size if a guy can fly. Golden is probably the only slappy that didn't. Freakin' guy had our roster loaded with big a$$ WR's who run 4.7's.

Why in the **** were we not on this kid earlier/ Heck all coaches have access to the Combine results and if you have that you can take a glance at his film to see if he plays up to his combine results and go from there. Kid also plays a heck of a corner.

Could this be the problem?"

Dugans Adjusting to Recruiting at Miami

I like the bigger guys," Dugans said when asked what he's looking for in a wide receiver. "

"But they also don’t have to be the bigger guys ... 6-2, 6-1 guys that can run and are physical can work. If they are under 6-0, they have to be able to fly. They got to be an explosive kid that can make plays, catch the ball and get up field. Is he a tough kid? Does he love football? Does he play special teams? That’s some of the different things I look for in the skill set. I just don’t go off, ‘Hey he’s got everybody in the country after him.’ I want to know if he's a good football player."

"

I don't get what you think is the problem. Dudes need to be big and/or fast, what's wrong with that?
