Driving home from game

Francis,
DOrsett did drop 2 TD passes on the first drive. He also came back and dropped another in either the 2nd or 3rd drive on almost the same spot. Another receiver dropped another in one of those series as well.

He also muffed a punt but got on it quick.

The roughing the punter call was bull**** too - he was blocked into the kicker

Refs were home cooking for ND all night, until the levee broke

I was there and totally agree with the refs statement. The calls on Miami (roughing thepunter, Smith's personal foul that took a 4th and 1 from the 3 into a 1st and goal, etc) and the non ND call, (blantent push from behind at the goal line of one of the long runs, a non PI call on #55 against Duke on an under thrown pass from Morris) had me steamed the entire night.

When we play Notre ****, you can count on about six calls or non-calls that will blatantly go against you. They're the sweethearts of the Officials. This is why I detest Notre **** so very vehemently - as they wouldn't win nearly the games they do if the officials called a decent game.

We got our asses whipped. But the piling on was permitted, even encouraged by the officials.

We didn't get our asses whipped. Our lack of depth was exposed. There's a subtle difference between the 2.

If Highsmith would have intercepted that gift that fell into his lap he could have gotten a lot of positive yards. There was a lot of room to roam but he looked up to see where he was going to run and dropped the **** ball.

I wonder if his almost (should have been) TD against NCSTATE helped play a factor in his decision to take his eyes off of the ball? Probably wanted to make sure that he had a clear planned out route to run so that he wouldn't get blind sided again and tripped up like he did when Chick tackled him.
