DP officially ruled out of the ncst game

You people saying save him for nd are crazy. This game is 100x more important than nd.

If he's that hurt I'm ok with sitting him until UNC
Agreed. People need to stop living in the past. The ND rivalry is ancient history. Winning the ACC would mean much more to the program at this stage. ****, just getting to the title game would be a huge boost. With that all said, I have little doubt that Perryman is legitimately too banged up to play this week.

I love Kirby as much as anyone but some of you are jumping the gun on his starting vs ND. Let him work himself into the rotation, he's coming off injury and hasn't played a minute of college football.

Raphael Kirby listed as probable.

Instantly our 2nd best LB imo.

How could you say that with the emergence of Johnson? EJ has been an absolute beast. I would argue to say he has been the best defensive player on the entire roster so far this year.

+1 Well said. This kid has surprised everyone.
BE honest here, do you take EJ > DP if you had a draft pick? Now, this is based on analytical assessment only.

Kirby's highlights from recruiting were great. Dude is explosive as ****, and made just as many plays out in coverage as he did in the backfield. He looked good in the spring too. This team needs anyone it can get at linebacker, and Kirby has a ton of potential.

No I take DP but only because I saw what he did last year. If we are basing on this year alone with no preconceived notions, EJ has been better than DP. And this coming from a guy who bought my son a #52 jersey at the beginning of the year.

Kirby was the best LB at the Ft Myers scrimmage. Not sure if that translates to game time, but he sure looked pretty good on spring.

Great teams take advantage of great opportunities to have great moments at great times against great opponents. This time next year, 90% of the nation will not remember who won the ACC Coastal.

But they'll certainly know who beat Notre ****'s ***.

It's absolutely great for recruiting purposes - locally and nationally.

Everyone knows we're young. Everyone knows we're building a team. Everyone knows we'll not go undefeated.

It would be really good to win Coastal - but the national credibility you obtain for beating major powers - nationally recognized name-brand-teams, is unfathomable.

We got everyone's attention in days past as Giant-Slayers. Penn State, Nebraska' "Greatest Team in the History of Football" BS, Okalahoma, on and on and on.

NC State? Let's beat them.

Notre ****? FSU? Virginia Tech? Slaughter them and watch the national interest in Miami once again.

Meh, we are not ready for any of that. Winning the Coastal and go to the ACCCG would be the peak of this team. If we beat a couple of ranked teams along the way, so be it. However, winning the Coastal should be Goal #1.

I would much rather win the game this week than beat ND and I'm making the trip up to Chicago for the game. Of course a win against ND wouldn't be bad either

Wow. Winning the Coastal is the ultimate for this team.

BS.

That just shows we are making progress.

The Big Games shows we're through the door.

lol. No. What happens if we win at ND and shi* the bed against the ACC?? Remember when everyone got all hyped up after we whipped VT at their place in 2005? We laid an egg against GT and got buttfukked by LSU later that year and were never heard from again.

Winning the Coastal shows CONSISTENCY and PROGRESS. We can beat anyone on any given day. Even Bama. But dont mean squat if you cant string together enough performances to accomplish something BEYOND one game. That starts with the ACC Coastal and getting to the ACCCG for the FIRST TIME EVER. Winning the Coastal means we probably end up with a 9-3 record and a chance to get 10 wins for the first time since freaking 2003.
