Doneiko Slaughter commits to Vols

How? We don't really need another Safety this cycle. Slaughter is someone I like but he's not a guy that we needed to add.
Got it so pass on talent because we aren’t in the business of stacking chips.

Next years recruits is never a given... you have a dude like this who probably plays in two years you don’t turn him down.

I’d rather lose to teams like Bama than Duke myself... at least u still get positive exposure as a player playing in the SEC vs the weak *** ACC coastal.

We have a limited number of spots. You can’t just “stack chips”.

Yup never wanna stack chips

need to stay ready with your pants down your right

I hope you can see the difference between want and can’t. There are limits to how many we can sign.

We already have 20 commits with a couple of more looking very promising and it’s only December.

There is still another signing period, then portal guys and grad transfers.

U just want to be angry about something 🤣🤣🤣. The staff didn't want the kid. If they did they would have pushed for him at Paradise Camp. ****, they would have pushed for him last week. They want Francois. If they land him(again) then you get your wish on stacking chips. If they miss it's not the end of the world. We have 3 safeties committed. We need CBs more than adding another safety that the staff doesn't like enough.

And how do you know that we turned him down. He could have very well not picked us.

I just don't love his tape. I see a versatile HS kid who is moved around and can make some plays but nothing athletically screams next level starter. It's position projection.

I don't think he's fast enough in space to be a safety or big/physical enough to be a LB/Striker. Now maybe he grows into one but there are others guy on the board i feel translate better with their body type and current game.....Harrell being one.
I agree. We have dudes on the team better than him. We have hall and bubba and and other on here that were rated higher and have better fish film. Keontre is a study Get equal or better talent sorry. Nothing to do with not getting him. Good player. But not anything to be upset about imo.
If we were thin I get it.
safeties this class-Balom and Washington.
Potential safeties-Harrell (or striker) and Restrepo (or slot wr).
Exactly. No one can say that slaughter is better than any of those cats or any dudes on the team now.
