Dominated the Bears Statistically

What is that about 230 yards on 4 pass plays where we blew some easy coverages on 2 of them.

So 45 plays for about 140 yards the rest of the way.

I fully expect a similar game vs Louisville but their def is not good so hopefully we get up early and they just can’t keep up.
If I were Mario, I'd come out pedal to the metal on O. Make them try to keep up.

I need a bye.

All us fans need a bye.

The team needs a bye.

Couldn’t come at a better time.
This looks like every game I play in CFB25.

Game is so real. Momentum is wild.

Two key stats. Look at Yards per play and Yards per completion. All about Explosives. Throw in a pick 6 on top of that.

In this and most defenses, im not sure what you do if your safeties can’t fill. In this defense, as I’ve repeated 1000x, I’m not sure what you do if you can’t match up with inside WRs. I guess pray.
yeah. that third and 15 screen pass that popped was a perfect example. 7 coming down with 2 or 3 other guys in pursuit from behind. forget making the tackle, if he does literally anything to slow the guy down at all it's an easy 3rd down stop. instead he runs himself right past the play and gets swept aside like tissue paper. at a certain point you simply have to execute.

People talk about situational football wins games. This game was an indication of it. How could you dominate every statistical category yet be down 35-10?
When the score was 35-10, we were not statistically dominating them. I don't think they were statistically dominating us, but their stats definitely looked better than ours.

Can we do anything to adjust when you know without a doubt you dont have talent on back end to execute your scheme, this is embarrassing. lol

Did you watch the first 35 minutes?

That's my biggest problem with last night. We don't EVER need to come out trying to ground and pound to establish some feeling of superiority. We put ourselves in a bad situation by dumbing down the O for a full half. 35-10 happened not only because the D had a handful of busted coverages. 35-10 happened because we got away from doing what we do best. Let Cam Ward pick teams apart. By getting behind a bit, he then started to force things down the field, thus the pick 6.

Terrible game plan that we were lucky to survive. We can't do that again.

Time to find religion lmao. How did Guidry blow this so badly, I mean for fuchs sake. He’s a Safety / DB coach. We had a lot of money at our disposal and this is what we have to show for it. Hope we can keep score 40+

Guidry needs to sprinkle in some zone dropping 6 or 7 and just let our 4 DL work. I’d like to see Frédérique’s targets/completions/yards stats. Don’t think he’s been thrown at much. Would also be nice to see Robby Washington pick up DB quick to add some speed back there.

Offensively our play calling didn’t have a rhythm the last two weeks in the first half. I fully agree with trying to establish the run but there was no play action off of that.

Also the slow plodding tempo doesn’t stress a defense out. If we are going to come out and play bully ball then go tempo and don’t give them a chance to breath. That’s when you’re gonna catch them off guard with an easy over the top P/A pass.

Cal came out 2 safeties high, daring us to run. I thought we responded to that well. At some point, we just started playing up tight/pressing. Scared to not open it up, play loose, have fun, etc... Honestly Cam is part of the problem.. but he's also the entire solution lol. I try to just be entertained. Win. Great. Lose. At least we aren't FSU.
