I went to Talley when game day was there when they hosted the sooners like 2 years ago. it was a sell out then. feel like the place is shaking . the tomahawk didn't bother me just very loud

It was very load when we had the ball. Very. One of the reasons for check downs and how much time we were taking between offensive snaps, hustling players around and looking back at the sideline. Charlotte should be a lot different. Hopefully, we can run an effective game plan for 60, but the bottom line is they are very deep, and we can not afford to make many unforced errors. The forced errors will be there and we will just have to roll with them, as we did for most of the first half.

I went to doak when the sooners rolled in to town, by far the loudest stadium I have ever attended .

You need to go to more football games. Doak is built outward, not upward.

Unless your ears are particularly sensitive to the built of idiocy that is the tomahawk chop, you'll find it pales in comparison to other stadiums as far as crowd noise goes. Place isn't even in my top-10 as far as noisy stadiums I've been to.

What's the loudest?

Of the games i've been to?

Clemson anytime, Syracuse in 1998 was deafening, but it's a dome, so it's kind of cheating, the Swamp gets louder than Doak. Then you have places like Tennessee, Penn State, Oklahoma based on size alone, but generally their fans aren't always as 'active' as others. As much as I hate to say it, because to me it's often overstated, but they do a great job at Lane Stadium. Heard from other UM fans Washington and Texas ***-to-Mouth were loud. Never been to LSU, but I've been told that trumps everything.....Oh, and the OB when it was packed at night is my sentimental pick.

Honestly, a lot of it is in the stadium's construction. Doak doesn't have a second deck, and, like I said, it's built more outward than upwards, keeps it from getting as loud as others.

What's funny is, with it's bowl shape and closed construction, the concrete monstrosity known as Slum Life wouldn't be that bad, noise-wise, if it wasn't built as a multi-purpose POS with seats far away from the field. If anyone ever invents a shrink ray, they need to hit that **** and get it down to about 80% of it's current size, throw a roof on it, and it'd be noisy as ****.

Been to a few of those you mentioned - Swamp, Lane, Neyland, PSU, LSU, and without a doubt (I can say this with a straight face not wearing my orange and green glasses) that the OB beat them all hands down. A sold out OB, day or night, was far louder than all of those mentioned. I didn't find LSU intimidating at all. Of those I listed, I'd say the Swamp gets loudest followed by Lane.

I was at 2000 UW game. That was loud.

Yup, defeaning. It's due to the overhangs over each side of the field. Without those, it's pretty flat with a track field circling the football field and the sound would escape up and out towards the lake.

/top 5 vista for any stadium, ******* beautiful view

Would put the OB and Ben Hill above Doak from my college days at UM. Caught the Oregon @ Washington Game and UCLA @ Oregon and those stadiums were louder than I've experienced outside of Clemson. Will catch a few more Pac-12 games while doing a one year sports marketing MBA here at Oregon

I was there and it was loud but I thought VT two years ago was louder and obviously there were times that I feel the OB was way louder.

Unfair to compare;
FSU enrollment is 42,000 vs Miami at 16,000 ish
Doak is on campus vs Sun Life being, with traffic on a night game, 90 mins away?
Not much else to compete for your entertainment dollar in Tallahassee vs. ever been to South Beach?
Team is on a roll; win and people show up

For the record, ESPN shows attendance at last years FSU @ UM game at 73,000 (I wasn't one of them since I live in Cal)

Quoting @billycorben when he said no matter what Miami wins because they get to go back to Miami

That atmosphere is on another level. Their sound system I can only imagine must add another element. What they were doing shouldn't be allowed, but it obviously is and I think we should emulate it. Their big screen, flashes very brightly "make noise" with a thumping sound as we would hike the ball. It was obnoxious as F, but adds another level of intensity.

Anyone know anyone to talk to about getting louder speakers and that **** going. **** was intense

That's what home field advantage is all about.
Some douche earlier in the season castigated me, saying fans don't make a difference.

I've been to Doak when it is rocking and people want to rip your Cane gear off and then flay you.

I can tell you, no stadium I've ever seen had a better home field than The Orange Bowl.
No speakers needed at the OB. Loudest, scariest environment ever for an opposing team.

Their crowd is a front running crowd. If they don't have anything to do that *** *** chop to, its not all that bad. Loudest I have been to was a night game at Auburn. Crazy atmosphere there with their eagle flying around. They were into the game all night.

Sun Life Stadium has the largest distance from the sideline to the playing field of almost any collegiate stadium. Baseball stadium sucks. Was going to get revamped but the Marlins ruined it.

This. the orange bowl followed by the Swamp. Both were deafening.

I can't stand the actual stadium itself. The atmosphere is pretty **** good though when FSU is contending.

I think eventually UM one day will get there own building its just too much of a legacy and powerhouse not to have one. It will come later down the road with wins,

Loudest place I've ever been was LSU for the Auburn game in '03. Just sustained noise. Loudest crowd pop was the blocked punt at the Swamp in 2002. Kyle Field is loud. Death Valley (Clemson) is really loud. Doak isn't on that level, IMO. I did wonder if the flashing "Make Noise" sign, basically a strobe light over the end zone tunnel in Morris' line of sight when looking for the play clock, was some sort of violation.

Last Saturday was a great atmosphere, but certainly not that loud.
