That atmosphere is on another level. Their sound system I can only imagine must add another element. What they were doing shouldn't be allowed, but it obviously is and I think we should emulate it. Their big screen, flashes very brightly "make noise" with a thumping sound as we would hike the ball. It was obnoxious as F, but adds another level of intensity.

Anyone know anyone to talk to about getting louder speakers and that **** going. **** was intense

Beat guys said the building was shaking just before kickoff.

Wish we could have a home atmosphere like that.

it was shaking. and the noise and intimidation factor are high. the bleachers are close to the filed. reminds me of the orange bowl. what an experience, especially in the first hald when we were in it.

it was a great atmosphere in there but it usually always is for miami-fsu. this one had a little more oomph to it tho bc of the expectations but it was a fun night up until the second half started.

Nice that their fans show and add to the atmosphere.

Their first sellout of the year.

its their first sell out but it was an actual sell out. dude not one empty seat at all for that game. i couldnt spot one empty seat in that stadium when i looked around. we couldn't really fill the the entire stadium for UF and that was sold out too. but we already knew our fans r garbage. either way, we need to get that atmosphere back at our home games. also, notice how they don't play any EDM in the stadium. ya, EDM Is huge in miami but please don't play that **** in the stadium anymore. get back to playing some thug music to get the guys hyped on the field. u always used to see players bounce up and down when they hip hop but none of em r fist pumping to avicii and what does the ***** say. anything that helps the players and pumps em up is fine w me. i could give two ***** bout what the fans want to hear.

I went to doak when the sooners rolled in to town, by far the loudest stadium I have ever attended .

You need to go to more football games. Doak is built outward, not upward.

Unless your ears are particularly sensitive to the built of idiocy that is the tomahawk chop, you'll find it pales in comparison to other stadiums as far as crowd noise goes. Place isn't even in my top-10 as far as noisy stadiums I've been to.

They're about to do a major overhaul there. Wonder how it'll be affected atmosphere wise.

Doak is not loud compared to most stadiums its size. The way it is built does not trap the sound in like other stadiums. It's not loud like Clemson or LSU or UF. Also, this was their first sellout. They only sellout for Miami, UF or Clemson. And, no, we shouldn't talk about attendance, but neither should they, especially not when they have 40,000 students and have trouble selling out.

Of the games i've been to?

Clemson anytime, Syracuse in 1998 was deafening, but it's a dome, so it's kind of cheating, the Swamp gets louder than Doak. Then you have places like Tennessee, Penn State, Oklahoma based on size alone, but generally their fans aren't always as 'active' as others. As much as I hate to say it, because to me it's often overstated, but they do a great job at Lane Stadium. Heard from other UM fans Washington and Texas ***-to-Mouth were loud. Never been to LSU, but I've been told that trumps everything.....Oh, and the OB when it was packed at night is my sentimental pick.

Honestly, a lot of it is in the stadium's construction. Doak doesn't have a second deck, and, like I said, it's built more outward than upwards, keeps it from getting as loud as others.

What's funny is, with it's bowl shape and closed construction, the concrete monstrosity known as Slum Life wouldn't be that bad, noise-wise, if it wasn't built as a multi-purpose POS with seats far away from the field. If anyone ever invents a shrink ray, they need to hit that ***** and get it down to about 80% of it's current size, throw a roof on it, and it'd be noisy as ****.

UF in 08 was the loudest stadium I've been to. I've been in the horseshoe and that was silent really.

Funny. I've been to many games at doak, the ob, and the swamp. I thought the atmosphere was great, but the noise level was not close to other games ive attended. Dont get me wrong, the fans scream their faces off. Its just the way the stadium is built. I dont believe our guys were affected by it. Just got beat
