Do we cover this weekend???

Then again, they played a good Michigan State team very tough on the road. This game just stinks to me.

So losing 21-6 is playing someone tough? USF has no offense. Exactly what are you afraid of?

They were down a touchdown in the 4th quarter to a 3-1 Michigan State team on the road.

Nobody is "afraid," we're talking about betting lines, not winning or losing.

USF doesn't stand a chance.

betting line should be higher because their offense is so terrible. At absolute worst case I see us letting up 2 tds, although realistically I think they'll have about 10 points and I think we'll get around 35-38

Something stinks with this game. USF still has some talent on that roster, and a good HC. They also have that extra chip on their shoulder that all these Florida schools do when they play one of the big 3. They're gonna be hyped as **** for this.

I think we something like 34-17 and just miss the cover.

The only way they score 17 is if they get a pick six and our special teams gives up a big play.

At the poster... look at it this way.

How good is our offense? Great. How bad is there offense? Bad...

How good is our defense? Good. There defense gets cancelled out of the equation and doesn't matter.

We win by 3 TD's at least.

I'm putting money on Miami..... USF getting blown out imo.

The line is lower then what it probably should be b/c USF is playing at home and the last time we played them in Tampa it was a close game.

I know they have a "talented" d-line but there d-line doesnt compare to Miami's or Floridas..... they turn the ball over a lot and Miami is very good at causing turnovers.

I share WTH's reservations as far as covering the spread goes. Coming off a bye, at home, with probably an above-average defense against an in-state big boy opponent they'll be geared up for. We've also struggled to run the ball some and our offense has appeared out-of-sync at times. They have a good back in Shaw who, if he gets going, could help them shorten the game.

That said, if I were playing this game, I think the play is still Miami. Consider that USF's offense, since losing BJ Daniels last year, has scored: 9, 10, 3, 21 (vs McNeese), 6, and 10.
Suffice to say they probably aren't going to score much more than 10 -13 points in this game. So it comes down to whether you think we can crack 30. Given how turnover prone they are and the defensive TDs they allow, how good our own TO margin is, and our advantages on defense and STs, Miami should be winning field position on them all game.

So I would say a failure to cover in this situation, given the likely advantages, would be a strong indication that our offense is still having serious issues.

I think we win by 21+
