My aunt knows almost nothing. But last season she watched almost every Heat playoff game and got hooked. She doesn't have cable. Yesterday afternoon she called and asked if she could come to my house and watch the Heat game. I said sure. After hanging up, I realized she probably wouldn't understand it wouldn't be the same intensity level as a playoff game.
It was far beyond that. She thought it was game one of a playoff series against the Bulls. She sat down and said, "First team to win 4, right?" I had to be very patient and explain there was a little matter of an 82 game regular season first, that the playoffs wouldn't begin until the middle of April. My aunt initially thought I was kidding. Once I convinced her it was true, she watched the first half and then left. I'm sure she won't watch another minute of a Heat game until the playoffs.
