Do some of you still only believe we're good for 6 games ?

yep...got $150 riding @under 6.5 and a 3 months ban on the WEZ that we win no more then 5

We beat a ****** BC team. The future is bright but lets not get ahead of ourselves here.

If our defense does not progress we will struggle to reach 6 wins. The offense is solid, it will serve us well. It can't be expected to go point for point every game though.

I haven't paid much attention to the schedule but did you see something that game that would wildly change somebody's prediction? The thing that was probably most out of line with the board expectation was the defense's performance--in a negative way.

the defense needs to improve.. even if it's just guys understand their responsibilities on each play and not leaving guys completely uncovered (TE,FB, RB)

Yes...but winning 6 or 7 games with a team this young isn't a failure. We should be really good next year if these guys develop and get better

Hmmm. I guess I wasn't expecting to have an explosive option on offense like Duke. That was more out of line with my thoughts than the Defense. I knew we'd be poor against good QBs but factored in that we're not exactly playing in the PAC 12.

Thought Duke would be good but nothing like he showed yesterday.

Going to repeat the same thing I said about a month ago.....there is a fine line between 6-6 and 8-4 over the course of a season. Next week's game at K State is one of those games that could swing the season for us.

We win that game and I'd be pretty surprised if we don't end up with 8 wins.

I said that the offense would surprise a lot of people this year, and they played well yesterday without even firing on all cylinders with all the drops and we had a couple chances to get TDs instead of FGs as well.

Definitely, because we would be heading into GT at 3-0 and that is a winnable game as well

We've got real world problems on D.

BC missed a TON of chances yesterday.

We are going to go through some maddening stretches just hope Morris and the offense can hold it together.

Agree about the G Tech game. We seem to have their number and Golden seems to have a pretty good grasp on how to slow down that offense.

There is a very real chance we could stroll into that Notre Dame game undefeated if we escape that K State game with a win.

Hurns also dropped a TD on a drive that we ended up with a FG. This stuff goes both ways

Phil Steele said the Canes have the 9th most difficult schedule.

I have been saying 6.5 wins for the Canes because of lots of youth and a tough SOS.

At BC I liked what I saw on O but didn't like what I saw on D, i.e., didn't see anything in yesterday's game to make me change my prediction.

As of right now this is probably a 6-6 team. The offense was hodge-podge yesterday and the defense was horrendous. But if they improve as the season goes on and don't take any big steps back when the freshman hit their walls, then there is a good chance they win 8 games.
