I see so many people on here completely write off recruits who are a 3 Star or worse. I understand that the best teams have the most 5 Star Rankings but that doesn't mean a 3 Star recruit can't become Great! Just look a Greg Rousseau,D'Eriq King and Quincy Roche. 2 and 3 star recruits get drafted in the first round every year. I use to be a 4 and 5 Star **** but I've seen way to many of them fail on our team and then low star guys become Legends for us.

Never fails... take a 3 star kid and the board immediately flames into threads going either or

news flash... some kids develop late... some kids are elite god given no doubters from the womb to 5star to the NFL

it’s your job as college coaches to get everyone that can help you win games and championships at this level

This thread hasn't been posted on every miami message board since 2007. Thank you for your revolutionary way of thinking.

Antonio Brown was a no star that only 1 school wanted.

Yes.

But just because a player is a 3-star doesn't mean he sucks & can't play.

It's not an either or situation & we don't have to operate between two extremes.

Both things can be true. Stars do matter & there are good players who aren't always highly rated.

Stop making these star debate threads for the love of God, it's the most retarded thing in the world & shows that our fans have a serious problem holding two thoughts at once.

For any individual player, no. But if you want to win, you better land the big recruits, as backed up by heaps and heaps of evidence. Always easier to pick out a 5 star flop or 2 star success story, but the fact of the matter is the hit rates are higher on higher ranked prospects.

The question that you should be asking is do evaluations matter more than stars? I think they 100% do.

You do realize some people haven't followed every single thread in here for the last several years right? How was I supposed to know this subject has been brought up several times in here. Ive only been active in here the last couple months.
