Do our lbs play too far off the ball?

Wildcat Defense! Where you been bro? Alot of cats on here owe you an apology. You tried to preach for weeks that this scheme was holding us back but cats said it was personnel. I think you got a few more members to your fan club bruh.

Anyway, I watched ALAs defense and those LBs are active pre-snap, ALWAYS near the ball because they are not too far from the LOS and their secondary is ALWAYS near the ball too. Its scary watching their D because its almost like they have 13-15 guys on the field because there is ALWAYS 2-3 guys around the ball within seconds of the action progressing. I think with the class coming in we will have the athletes to get their we just need to fire a few folks on the D coaching staff.

Just been laying low bro. No need for me to pump my chest.

I hear you. Been saying it for awhile but the way we play defense is just sad. We play soo passive and scared that we try to protect against the big play while giving up everything anyways. We play such a ***** mode defense. Atleast everyone is starting to realize. Golden is a great talker but I doubt he can help his boy now. I already know what Golden will say, we spotted them 3 to, and you cant do that, to begin the game the d got off the field twice, yadda, yadda, yadda...

Nah bruh you need to pump that **** all over this board. Got cats on here talkin' strictly scheme in every thread and not even TALKING ONE BIT about the personnel on D no more. LOL! Thats how you know you crushed it.

At the end of the day I'm just a bum high school coach who doesn't know WTF I'm talking about. LOL

Standard alignment for LB's is heels at 4.5 yards.

CB's alignment in Cover-3 is 7x1.

Thank you, that's what I was looking for. Seems the lsu's, bama's, and VT's of the world play slightly closer, a more aggressive stance. While we play slightly further away, a more passive stance. It's a microcosm for the whole defense.
