If you like Waylon and Johnny, I just started listening to their grandsons Whey Jennings and Thomas Gabriel, you will hear their grandfathers voices through them and it’s incredible the resemblance. Dabbled into alittle Hank III and he’s about as outlaw as you can get, lol. Also, Shooter Jennings isnt all that bad either.

Country music sucks, get better taste.
Yes the new country absolutely does, however, the new batch coming up is bringing it back. It’s just the country landscape will always be dominated by the people who they want to dominate it. The new batch Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Vincent Neil Emerson can take over if they’re allowed to.

Honestly, what is any music today beyond a mix of pop/rap/country. I tihnk it’s good that genres borrow from each other. I still remember when Run DMC played Walk This Way.
But I’m afraid today (and maybe then too), it’s just the label creating the easiest, most marketable sound.

I don’t feel like calling something country or rap or pop even makes sense anymore. I would include rock but true rock is dead. Metal died 20 years ago, but we don’t even have groups like Pearl Jam or the Stones anymore.

Old man rant
