D'Mauri Jones

We lost Scott and Dorset, but this guy has not sniffed the field. He's been here for 3yrs so; is it safe to call him a bust?

3 years? He was part of the 2012 class. And he isn't exactly Coley talented so no, he's not a god**** bust.

Can you really call any 2 star recruit a bust?
We are not talking about Aldarius, Ryan Moore or Lance Leggett.

He's no Garrett Kidd (who played against VT by the way).

With the injurise at wr and M.Lewis being a shadow of himself and still Jones can't get in at all and now we're looking to sign 4 wrs in this class with only Hurns leaviing.Jones will transfer,he will never play here.

Quality depth... Not everyone on the team is gonna be 1st round picks and future hall of famers

I would be a bit more concerned about the key drops that waters has had the past two weeks. Not to say he hasn't play welll, he has played very well and his future I hope keeps on the upswing. But, I really expected him to make those two catches. They where very big opportunities. Hope he progresses to the elite level type of WR.

We gonna be ok at WR next year. I think we are fine with what we have right now.

Dorsett
Coley
Waters
Scott
Lewis
Jones-may end up transferring

add:
Griffin-redzone guy
Berrios-slot guy
Brady-deep threat
Langham-redzone and position WR
Dixon? all around very talented

Jones will transfer to another FBS program and become a reliable #3/4 WR who is a redzone threat and catches 5 TDs a year.

Meanwhile, in Goldenland, one legged Malcolm Lewis will continue to receive snaps.

I would consider Griffin an all zone guy, not just a red zone guy.
All he has to do is hold up his arms and jump and he's wide open.

Hopefully Rashawn's injury isn't serious -- but looking down our roster at our WRs, D'Mauri Jones caught my eye. I remember liking his tape, really nice size and good speed. Really haven't heard anything on him since he's come here, other than that he redshirted last year. Something to think of assuming Rashawn is out for any period of time.

I've been dying to see D'Mauri play. I LOVED his film coming out of HS. Tall and very athletic receiver, but surprisingly shifty. If I remember correctly, some of his footage even had him in the slot and he looked real smooth. Would like to see him get a shot at least.

I love Malcolm as a player. He seems like a great kid. Not even thinking about the team needs right now. Now I get the whole inspirational thing about him suiting up and being with his brothers. I get that but is it really benefiting him playing this year and not being 100 percent? Why not give him another year to get all the way back? He still could have practiced with the team and gotten reps in. In any case, I wish the kid much success.
