Im 100% lashing out due to how this last week went… and my mind could change quickly next year. But let’s have an honest conversation, if Mario doesn’t win 9 games next year should he get a 5th season? The answer is no.

He ruined all his wiggle room by not making playoffs or winning conference this year.

Manny had a 4 year start before his hc tenure. I have zero sympathies. Watching that 2022 roster talent level was quite interesting.

If Mario mails it in year 4 he has no excuse.

Sitting on a recruiting board and discussing the firing of the coach of a program who has zero conference championships in 20 years and has only played for it once after winning 5, then 7, then 10 games is certainly a choice. It’s a ******* retarded one, but it’s a choice nonetheless.

If you don’t see the trajectory of the program under Mario and just look at numbers I have no words for ya homie. But I do understand your point

Manny took over for Mark Richt. Manny a better roster when he took over. Manny was 6-7, 8-3, 7-5.

Mario took over and the roster was horrible depth wise due to Manny's recruiting. Mario has improved win total every year. So take you numbers and shove them. I seriously hate being a Canes fan due to some of our so called "FANS".

Recruiting is a $$$ game now. That is how you lose momentum. Wait it out and see how roster looks after portal season.

How long do you wait for trajectory? If Miami goes 8-4 next year you think Mario DESERVES a 5th year?

He’s not getting fired until 2027 at bare minimum, and that’s only if we went like 8-4/7-5 in 2025 and 2026. I’m not even fully convinced that would be enough since his diehard supporters don’t understand simple concepts like ROI and football outside of Florida.

But the argument itself based on how the resources changed between regimes, is absolutely substantial enough to deem the last three years an overall failure, falling massively short of expectations.

Here come the fan police smh. Im the biggest UM homer, it’s not wrong to have an objective conversation… and the conversation has to be had.

He’s improved every year, yes. Is he going to improve next year? UF, ND, VT, Pitt, FSU, SMU, NC State, CUSE, UL….

If Mario doesn’t win 8/9 games next year, ship it because it’s done.

Miami message boards never cease to amaze me. I said it before...we are small in numbers but boy we can bring it lb for lb

I could literally form 3 columns on posters.

Unrealistic(to both extremes good or bad)this is basically the mopes vs slurper battles - these are the posters who are putting us in the national championship after 1 drive or saying Mario's toast after 10-2 and writing us off next year as 8 wins tops. If you defend one side to much get ready to catch heat.

Always negative/waiting for something bad to tell you I told you so - This is the crew that is pretty quiet most of the time...they will throw in a positive comment when things are going well but really dont say much. But if a game is to close there are warning signs "I dont like Dawsons play calling." But after a loss or a recruiting whiff. Oh boy buckle up. But typically end with "But Ill gladly take the L or I hope I'm wrong and will be happy."

Realists - everything is game to game and year to year. Never to high, never to low. Maybe if you want to split hairs they do try to see hope at any chance they get but typically will follow with "but I need to see it more." which is what a fan should be.

Right, people instantly jump down your throat… “well look what he inherited”

Newsflash, Richt evaluations (yes Manny had a part in that) were NOT good. The team Manny took over in 2019 was not much better than what Mario took over in 2022. Yet we ran manny out of town for winning 21 games in 3 years (deservedly so) with FAR less invested.

Idc what will happen, Im simply asking what SHOULD happen if Miami regresses next year.

I think we all expected some type of regression next season, but off a playoff run or ACC title that would’ve been okay…. It’s now not okay

Last years class was great. Some of those players should step up. OL and run game should be good.

I think Pruitt and POPO will be great at LB, add in 1-2 portal LB.

CB and Safety - Patterson should be good to go. Toss in 2-3 portal guys.

AND get a good DC. ND is not a world beater. UF will still be down, do they have $$$ for portal? Because realistically, there are not too many freshmen that will make an impact.

We went 10-2, that is great for Miami after the past 20 years. Let build on it and support the team. Mario isnt going anywhere. He has shown he can adapt. Lets get a new DC and roll!

It took me an entire day to get over the Cuse loss. It sucks but knew their O would score. Trust
