2025 DJ Pickett 5* CB from Zephyrhills Commits to LSU

The Big10 jump from 2023 to 2024 is due to Oregon and USC joining the frey, + Michigan picking up the slack. ACC had 3 to Miami and 2 to Clemson. I think it’s ok to say both teams are “underperforming” in recruiting based off of previous classes.

Before any Miami fanatic gets ****ed off, that doesn’t mean the class is bad. It’s just mathematically worse than the previous two classes (as of now, with a chance to flip kids late still).

SEC continues to hoard talent, and the Big10 is coming now.

We should probably move to one of those two conferences sooner rather than later.

Crazy thing is most of those 5 stars come from 3 schools. 13 of the 19 5 stars are committed to bama(4), uga(5), texas (4). But yea these kids want to play in the sec and it’s been that way for a while

Just seen his dad claim they went on a “camping trip out of state” and didn’t visit any schools last week

Man I’ve been around too long to know these brothas took a secret visit somewhere

This man really wants us to believe they were in the woods in a tent somewhere and not collecting 1 final visit payment 🤣🤣

SEC is definitely the undisputed King of 5 stars atm no debating that

yeah and espn brainwashing kids into thinking you have to go to sec or Big 10 but mainly SEC.
 
I don’t mind them hoarding the talent as long as we’re getting our own and consistently top 5/10 in recruiting every year. But I understand that we have a harder time getting those high four or five stars as they are usually SEC obsessed.

By being top 5/10 every year it should allow us to own the ACC and let the SEC beat up each other which I think will come back to bite them since 75% of the conference thinks they should win the championship.

The main issue is the money difference. We can’t continue to have such a massive deficit compared to those two conferences.

I also take "camping trips" that just so happens to be located at College campuses that are recruiting & offering my son millions, all the time...

When LSU lost their QB recruit have to believe they will pay whatever it takes to keep Pickett.

I trust Mario 100% when it comes to recruiting but this will take a herculean effort to land this kid.

He’s always wanted to go there. Maybe he picks up on the bad vibes within that program right now, but we would need an overwhelming NIL offer on the table regardless to have any shot next week.

The big difference is game day atmosphere. My daughter goes to ole miss. We are here now. 30 minutes before kickoff, thanksgiving weekend. Place is packed.
