2025 DJ Pickett 5* CB from Zephyrhills Commits to LSU

And yes, some of those sacks are absolutely on Cam. The last play yesterday for example, was abysmal IMO, especially in that situation. But I’ve seen the OL get whooped plenty in 1v1 situations and I can’t label them anywhere near elite.
The word “Elite” is abused on this site.

We’ve been mediocre for so many years we easily mistake above average and good for elite.

No need to pour salt in the wound. Already sucks enough knowing we are currently witnessing Cristobal’s ceiling as a HC.
In all fairness, Mario was too busy admiring his own big ole ****ies in the mirror, and recruting this past week. That didn’t leave him much time to have the team ready to play and beat a coach, QB and team that owns him.

You know, priorities.

He had Arroyo wide open in the flat right away but wanted a huge play instead of taking what was there...we had plenty of time on the clock and 2 TOs

Miami is going to continue recruiting Pickett but Damien says his DJ is locked in.

“It’s about my son being happy, my son being comfortable and my son getting on the field earlier and we feel that spot is LSU,” the elder Pickett said.

They were on campus all weekend arriving on Friday and leaving Sunday. Time was spent with Brian Kelly, Blake Baker and Corey Raymond among others.

“Trying to get back on the 30th for the Oklahoma game,” Damien said. “That’s one we’re trying to get to. Get back one more time and my son feels at home. That speaks volumes for them.”

I think it works out for us in the end. It makes so much sense to come to Miami, especially if we match LSUs offer

This is bullsh*t.

At first it was playing in the SEC in prime time games, but now since "Big Game" Brian Kelly is gonna lose the majority of those games like he always does, it's about being comfortable & getting early playing time.

Which is hilarious because one of their starting CB's Ashton Stamps, is a True Sophomore & one of their starting Safeties Dashawn Spears, is a True Freshman.

They signed 3 CB's & 3 S's in their 24 class, plus brought in a CB & 2 Safeties from the Portal, all of which still have at least 1-2 years of eligibility left.

Meaning, the majority of the DB units are underclassmen, so unless DJ Jr has been guaranteed ZY Alexander's starting spot for next year, they have multiple players that are primed to get starting opportunities in their Secondary.

But, if he is the shoo-in starter at Field, then they're probably gonna have a pretty large exodus of CB's in the Portal this Winter/Spring.
