The fact a DE even being mentioned to play RB let's me know what type of athlete he is....

LOL...nope, but Palm Beach Post seems to be today.
I won't post the link for obvious reasons, but it appears the coaching staff at least discussed the possibility with DJ...though the story appears to be, again, wholly based on Canesport reporting.

In HS I played against Tony Bryant, NFL DT for Raiders. He was 6'4 265lbs of running back. If DJ was playing a bunch of undersized kids, like I was in HS, he'd make a great RB! Too bad Miami plays vs FSU in week 3.
