If you remember the 2009 Rose Bowl it was said during the game that USC noticed that Penn St. played a ton of 3 deep and would rarely, if ever get out of it. Sanchez threw for over 400 yards in that game and Penn St. made no adjustments. I immediately thought of that Rose Bowl when the 3 deep comment was made during the game.
