Disparity in # of home games across CFB

In 2025, Miami will have 8 home games.

The gator, USF, and Notre Dame all come to Hard Rock as part of the OOC schedule. We have 4 home ACC games (NC State, Louisville, Stanford, and Syracuse).

The 12th game isn't announced yet, as far as I know, which means it'll be an FCS game (Bethune, FAMU, etc) that will be at home.

8 at home, 4 on the road.

Would bet our lease at Hard Rock limits the number of games we're allowed per year to 6 or 7. I can't remember how many times we've had 7 home games.

That's why you see us going to App State, Temple, USF, etc.
Why in earth would hard rock limit our home games? That makes no sense.

Preservation of the playing surface. I mean I don't know if they do or not. I'm sure we just pay more if we throw an extra game on there but I've heard people say the Dolphins cry about their playing surface being poor because so many games are played on it compared to most NFL surfaces.

i dont think there is a limit on home games. im sure its more of how ACC Scheduling works. we never had more than we do even when we played in the OB. this year we had one 2 away games (both in state) and 3 home games.

All good points. But we don’t get Cam Ward without NIL. He would be the NFL.
Absolutely, the qb carousel that appears to be the norm moving forward would not occur, but I still think “the sport”, in general is roughly in the same spot, the way we get there is a little different though.

And this is coming from someone who is fearful of the direction that it is going.

In terms of the number of games, it probably should be standaedised on some level but the OOC games are always going to throw this out occasionally. But any 3 year sample should have maximum of 65% home games (just made that number up, I don’t know what should be appropriate)
