Did you guys see the Wall Street Journal this morning?

When I saw this thread title I was like how is this going to be relevant to recruiting. Opened it and wow. Just wow

Read article. It focused on Ruiz and NIL. Should have included other programs with lots of NIL money floating around. Made it appear that UM and Ruiz are the only entities spending on NIL. Paid little attention to how badly the team has played or the coaching staff, except for the photo of Mario on the sidelines. The only player named was Rashada and something about the other QB recruit being ranked at #31. It was more of a financial article than a sports article.

Off topic, but...If TCU can put a winning team on the field, why can't Miami?

I’m being facetious. Pointing out our seasons are a one game difference currently. Not slam dunk worthy
Ok. Lol yeah, that was the biggest joke about it. As was mentioned, they talked about our ****** season while “Florida’s season is thriving” and there’s a 1 game difference at the time of the article.

Does anyone take a WSJ article seriously when it’s an in the weeds sports article?

That’s not their area. Politics and finance, whether you agree with the editorial positioning or not, is what I read the WSJ for.

This would be like a 247 article on the stock market. Nobody really cares, makes no impact.

The article literally started off (unknowingly) outing the Gators for doing exactly what you shouldn't be doing in NIL yet focused the majority of the article on bashing us. Smh
