Did Quay Bain just commit?

Someone needs to let LSU fans know that we stopped recruiting this kid. As did FSU...

Miles thinking hes getting back at us for recruiting robinson so he is going to steal one of our commits

little does he know he was never committed and im not even sure if this kid has a real offer from UM

Briscoe dominated at the highest level of high school football in Louisiana. Arguably the best man on the field in the state title game against West Monroe. Bain talked about dominating during the summer; his high school coaches moved his dominating behind to OL during the season where he was pedestrian. I see him playing at Marshall - maybe.

After typing that, the parallels between Bain and Jacoby Briscoe are uncanny.

He didn't dominate UNTIL the playoffs though. Prior to that, he was average.

LSU is in a position to take a player like Bain...they can bring him in, let him develop and see what they get out of him by his fourth or fifth season.

That's if he doesn't transfer half way through his time there.

Someone posted that he was injured. Others have said he spent his time playing video games. Whatever is being said, I'd say be patient because in the Spring we should get a much better sense of where he is in his development.

What's the story with Briscoe? I haven't read or heard anything about him.

Las time LSU took a DL miami passed on was Francois who had a nice career there and just had a nice sack tonight against NE.When it comes to evaluating DL and DBS,LSU is as good as it gets.

Miami didn't pass on RJF

We did not pass on rjf. We wanted him badly.

to this point of moving a prospect, which i see come up on multiple boards, if the backup to bain on the d line is a close second, and the backup on the o line is a distant second, it makes plenty of sense. while a coach may want to serve a kids interest in his recruiting, it is more important that he serves his own of winning a championship.

I would imagine if we had more scholarships available, and were not looking for a more polished dt to contribute sooner rather than later, there never would have been a cooling on this kid.
