Diaz On Keeping Top S.Fla Recruits Home

What's with this coached them up talk with Rumph? Did you guys watch our secondary late in the year? Every QB was having a record setting day, that's not a coincidence. The Wisconsin game was embarrassing. During the game T. Campbell tweeted a disappointed Emoji. His recruiting battle was lost that game, watching our db's fail to find the football.

Rumph's coaching last season was average. I hate the Zone D we play and I think because of it the secondary struggles. We played better in man to man. But I don't think we had the players to do it consistently.

Third year in this system. We need to make major improvements. That's the only way we will get So Flo kids to stick around on D. Because they can't recruit as wel as the O coaches, they need to sell results.

What does zone versus man have to do with Rumph? He doesn't make that call.

Sounds like your complaint needs to be directed towards the DC not the CB coach.

Do you know Rumph personally? You seem to defend him a lot
Don’t get mad because he knows what he’s talking about football wise and is not one of these posters who circle jerk the same other posters every day on here

All this hating on Rumph is pretty bizarre.

We brought in two All American caliber DBs this year who are questionably below those two guys. By December we already had nearly all our beasts done with, so we saved a couple of the last rides we had available for the two AH guys, took a shot and whiffed.

Whatever.

They were the longest of longshots to begin with. We allocated our scholarship numbers perfectly, signed and delivered an absolute stud filled class early and coasted into NSD with at least a shot at two kids who had shown virtually no interest in us...ever.

Blaming Rumph for them not coming here because he "coached them in high school and was a mentor" is an absurd and insulting way to look at it. Those AH kids handled their business and made the decision they felt was best for them. That's not his fault, it just is what it is.

Correct. UM fans are unrealistic baboons thinking Rumph should be able to sign kids from his former HS who he’s coached and known since they were 10.

I don’t understand the genesis of their frustration other than them being spoiled babies. Rumph is one of the best in the business from both a recruiting and coaching standpoint, and we’re lucky to have him.

These same dopes will be crying their eyes out when he leaves and we are saddled with a guy who stands zero chance of doing the things Rumph has done.

This dude was a 1st round NFL draft pick FYI. That means two things for sure: he knows how to coach and recruit.
