Dewayne Hoilett anybody

Interested as well. Hopefully he develops into a contributor next year but almost all of Golden's unheralded defensive recruits from his first class haven't panned out (gone or yet to be heard from).

Hoillett would be asked to keep contain anyway..........who cares.

Cameron Wake wouldn't do **** in this scheme.

And again, this is not something we should be really blaming Golden for. The reason we had so many JAGs and nobodies in that class, is because Shannon had done NOTHING in recruiting, and had like 3 or 4 players on board when he was canned. Golden basically had to start from SCRATCH at the 11th hour, just to have some bodies. It was a disaster. Between that class, and Shannon's last, that is why we are as bad off right now as we are.

I don't understand why you are blaming Shannon for Golden's 2012 class (the one Hoilett was apart of).

Maybe you would understand better if you read your OWN POST. The enlarged is what I was addressing.

HE GONE..

Not really but I think he will be at some point in the offseason. JMO though.

Great idea to keep recruiting guys and keeping them around for a couple years then running them off. That's a great way to build upper classmen into your plans.

Wasn't this dude some sort of scout team hero last year?

I guess he's not 290 pounds though, so Duh and Al Tin can't find any use for him. We need to make our DEs fat and slow, so they can play pattycake with OL better.

Don't know but certainly has JAG potential

Why because he's a redshirt freshman that may need some time to develop? Some of you need to temper your expectations.

Any youngster that can't play ahead of the hot garbage we play with on the DL does not give me a lot of hope.

Green - D2 player
Chick - JAG
Renfrow - JAG
Porter - JAGish

That is our starting front 4 including 3 seniors. Players with a high ceiling should be playing ahead of them and aren't.

Oh you blaming the players??? Defiantly been sipping Dorito cool aid

Was listening to 560 and not sure his name but radio host said he finally had some contacts at the U and they're telling him it's definitely not the coaching, said God bless the kids that are fighting for us but they point blank, are not big play caliber. Although somewhat true, NOT what I wanted to hear!

LULZ at those dopey shills on QAM. They've been running players under the bus protecting the corches since C0cker's days. They made excuses day and night for C0cker, Shannvo, and now they're drinking that draw leg soup Al Tin is serving everyone.

He'll be fine, came in weighing 215 trying to play DE/OLB position he needed time to mature. Golden even mentioned how a couple of guys that played last year were on scout team to cultivate their skills. Truth of the matter is you have a handful of guys that can come in and make plays in their first 2 years. By the 3rd year in the program you should see progression with the 3 star recruit (average D1 Prospect) making the transition. Now how the DC uses those guys that's a different story....

That enlarged portion of my post I am calling the 2012 class Golden's first true class (we are discussing Hoilett). Understand the misinterpretation though.

DH is doing just fine. He's a smart athletic redshirt freshman!!!
He will contribute here. This board has become worse than grassy. Most lineman don't contribute this early, and he has a bad *** 5 star freshman and 4 star stud sophomore a bit ahead of him.

Go Canes!

I'd rather hear that the players are not Miami caliber, and that the young guys and incoming classes are, than hear that the coaches suck. It's a lot easier to turn over the roster than it is to get rid of a coaching staff, find a new coaching staff, and start all over again.

Agree with your post and possibly that our talent isn't good enough to beat FSU but VT??....Duke??!!

Chik hasnt improved since he's gotten here. Kind of a bust if you ask me.

Thats not fair. He's been a solid contributor since he got here, but he's been asked to do more and more, and things that were really not his skill set. They have basically made him a DT, and he should have stayed a 4-3 DE, that is what his frame and skill set was.

Problem with Hoilett is...

How's he gonna see the field now?

He's one of the DE/OLB hybrids. Ahead of him are McCord, Figs and AQM. We also have Chad Thomas coming in, who's a prototype DE/OLB, along with some other 2014 recruits who are way more gifted than Hoilett.

Wouldn't be surprised if he transferred.
