Devontae Smith final 3

Jerry Jeudy is better than Smith. And I don't think it's close. Smith is the faster guy tho, but that's the only advantage he has on Jeudy.

There is not always time for a double move. Jeudy is being compared to the Cooper's and Ridley's of the world. He's not even as good as Coley or Richards was in high school. He's a Travis Rudolph kind of player, which is solid. Calm down people. You can teach Smith how to run routes and little things about the position. You can't teach raw speed and explosiveness. You have that or you don't.

Well the people who evaluate recruits for a living don't agree with you because Jeudy is ranked higher coming out of highschool than Coley, Richards, or Rudolph. Stop downplaying the kid just because he probably isnt coming here.

I don't care that he's not coming here. If he came here I would say the same thing. And those guys you're talking about miss ALL the time. What was Ermon Lane ranked ? How about Dorsett? Matthew Thomas anyone. They are wrong a lot. **** I may be wrong. But people are making this guy out to be some can't miss uber talent like Sammy Watkins and I just don't c it.

I trustpete and if pete says hes cooper cook level and i see the samething before pete said it im all in. And pete was on cook real early and people doubted him until his legend grew and we all know how thag went. They guy haunts us still

I like Jeudy, but this is false. Smith has better hands (Jeudy is good in this area), Smith runs better routes (Jeudy is good in this area), Smith is faster (not close). Smith is much better at high pointing the ball. Jeudy is more physical. Now onto the camp highlights that has everyone seems to be so hooked on. Any coach will tell you that Jeudy's release in camps isn't something you can use in actual game action. They are great in camp settings and provide entertainment, but aren't plausible for a myriad of reasons. When actual breaking down both of their releases Smith is better at getting off the line.

Again, I like Jeudy & hope we get him. But Smith is the better WR.

I just watched Smith's tape for the first time and he is certified fresh. how does he not end up at LSU though? they get every top prospect from that state that they want. if not, it was because they were outbid by roll tide.

let's just try to get Harley....forgot about this kid.

DeeJay Dallas looked nice with the swatted ball (Him in the neon green shorts) not sure who he was going against.

He got beat by Jeudy, but in a game the ball probably needs to be out by the time Jeudy got open. Did too much at the LOS

Deejay surprised me with his quickness. Just thought he was a really good athlete but surprisingly quick

He a shut down corner all the way

I have a feeling Smith commits to the U. Bama already has Shavers and now just added Jeudy. LSU is a courtesy listing and Smith has no interest. Signs all point to Smith coming here.It makes the most sense by far especially when you consider he was committed to Mark Richt when he was at UGA.

Having said that, we are talking about HS kids and the recruiting game here. The two often don't make sense especially together. The strategy right now in terms of WR is go all in to get Harley. He has proven he is more than worthy at several camps and he has always wanted a Miami offer. Like I said, I like our chances with Smith after seeing Jeudy formally announce to Bama. Smith may actually be a silent. Bottom line is we need to go all in to close out the WR class with Smith and Harley. It's very realistic IMO. Adding Smith and Harley to Dingle, Njoku, Bruce, Mullins and Richards would make one filthy WR corps. Now that is what a Miami WR corps is supposed to look like!

Our chances are looking better for him. Bama has a race for WRs right now... Jeudy jumped on now before smith took the spot. They are in on it heavy for Jeff Thomas, Nico Collins, and Mark Webb....give me Smith and/or Holloman and offer Harley, move Dallas to CB and hope Marco gets on board too and we should be set

I think people are overlooking how Bama works here. They don't care who they have committed. They will take Smith's commitment if he wants in, and figure it all out on NSD. There is a full senior year to be played, we don't know how everyone is gonna develop. Smith could blow up and go to the top of their board as far as we know or just completely drop off. Point being is Bama wants the best players possible and they will be cutthroat about it, while having no accountable for their actions. Smith will commit where he wants and Bama getting Jeudy doesn't help us as much as you would think.
