Just thinking out loud, but makes me wonder if it really is good that our local media is inside the Miami program So closely. Maybe that's why the Shawn Davis deal went south, maybe he woulda pulled a secret gank move if he didn't get blown up.and when he got blown up he backed away.Maybe the fact that every miami move is screamed from the mountaintops is a hindrance to us. I know I love the information, but all our moves are scrutinized, trolled, and beaten like dead horses and the recruits are square in the middle of it, just maybe

I agree that maybe Pete should have kept this one close to the vest like some people think he is doing with Devonta Smith and his apparent silent commit to us...but when you think about it..Thats like the ole "Rick Pitino/Steve Spurrier interested in UM job but if it leaks they will back out"..LOL. Remember these tall tales from back in the day? The Steve Spurrier one was the funniest. How dumb is that? "Im in but if ANYONE finds out about it..you can cancel the whole thing!"

Maybe Davis reached out and maybe he didnt. If Pete said he did..im riding with Pete over a kid who got caught sticking his hand in the cookie jar and all of a sudden having everyone on social media asking him questions about it and now trying to save face by throwing Pete under the bus.

not true. When you have a talent like Thomas that can truly run a 4.3, you can play him outside if you want as well. Its like saying Santana Moss wouldn't take catches away from other WRs when he was here opposite Reggie.

I feel there is a difference between those on the team and actions that actually took place versus the whims and decisions of a high school kid. These kids often lie to either keep people happy or to keep them off their back or even sometimes they themselves don't even know. Maybe he's right, maybe he's not but recruiting is just.... well, recruiting.

I hope he comes but I'm not holding my breath.

If we were to get him, and close with McFarland and Thomas to go with Perry. That is one great offensive haul. Would have been nice to get Herbert and/or Slaton to go with Donaldson though.
